Tell Maine’s Congressional Delegation to Prioritize Climate Action 

To the Maine Delegation:  

The Biden-Harris Administration provides new hope for an ambitious climate action agenda that will strengthen our economy, create new jobs, and build healthier communities 

Maine has laid out a positive path forward in its new Climate Action Plan – but climate change isn’t an issue that stays within our state’s borders. We need action from Congress and the federal government to provide local communities with the tools and resources they need to implement promising clean energy solutions that will slow the impacts we’re seeing first-hand, like rising seas, increased prevalence in tick-borne illnesses, and extreme weather.  

Please support the Biden-Harris Administration’s plans for strengthening our economy and protecting our health with bold climate action by:  

• Voting to approve President Biden’s climate and environmental nominees who will return science-based policymaking to Washington, DC;

• Voting in support of legislation to create new jobs, invest in clean transportation, develop more sources of renewable energy, and build resilient communities; 

• Working to establish ambitious national goals for clean energy development, climate action, and land conservation at every level of government; and

• Taking action to reinstate and strengthen our nation's bedrock environmental safeguards.
