Maine's Senator Susan Collins just voted for a tax bill that would allow oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to help pay for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
If enacted, the ANWR provision would reverse protection for one of the world’s most majestic landscapes. Expanded oil drilling would lock in decades more of oil dependence and carbon pollution that drives ocean acidification, sea-level rise, Gulf of Maine warming, and climate change.
There’s still time for Senator Collins to help defeat a tax bill that opens up ANWR to pollution and damage to wildlife.
Please contact Senator Collins today to tell her you're disappointed in her vote and to urge her to work to protect the arctic.
